There are certain points and events, which determine whether a trip can be called a success or a failure. Some points include whether we enjoyed or not, was there any hassle or any major fight during the stay and travel, the cost effectiveness, etc. While a few of the uncertainties can be foreseen by travelers and accounted for; there can be coincidental occurrences and sometimes pure bad luck which can make a perfectly planned trip go to the dogs. And hence the importance of contingency planning.
